Why exhibitors come home empty-handed
Retail buyers and distributors walk CES looking for vendors, not just products. Within minutes at your booth they can tell whether a brand understands channel pricing, packaging and what a retail launch takes, and they spend their time with the ones that do.
A crowded booth feels like a win. But without a target list of retailers and distributors, and outreach before the show, the buyers who matter walk past, or never make it to your aisle.
Retailer margin, distributor cuts, freight allowances, chargebacks, returns. If your pricing wasn't built for them, a buyer at your booth will find the gap in seconds.
Buyers want retail pricing, sell-through data, packaging that fits a planogram and vendor terms. Not your origin story or your spec sheet.
Most CES leads go cold within a month. Without a lead follow-up strategy, the conversation at the booth is where it ends.
The package
Our retail consultants help consumer electronics brands exhibiting at CES get ready to network with retailers and distributors. Starting November 2026 and leading up to CES on January 6–9, 2027, we'll help you:
01
Develop the retail channel market analysis: which retailers and distributors carry your category, at what price points, and who you'd sit next to on the shelf.
02
Develop pricing models for both retail and distribution: MSRP, wholesale and distributor pricing that still leaves you margin after retailer fees.
03
Review product samples and retail packaging with suggestions for improvement, so what you show at the booth is what a buyer can actually stock.
04
Review your logistics and post-sales support strategy (fulfillment, warranty and returns) and make suggestions for improvement.
05
Develop a high-level marketing strategy for your retail launch: the programs buyers expect a vendor to bring to the table.
06
Develop the retail buyer pitch deck and other sales collateral, built around what buyers need to see, not your origin story.
07 · The capstone
Get ready for the show itself. In the final weeks before Las Vegas we review everything a retail buyer will see and hear at your booth, and what happens after they leave it.
Starting November 2026
Book a free consultation. We'll tell you what a retail buyer walking your booth would push back on today, and how to fix it before the show.
Client story · UltraHuman
In 2022, UltraHuman launched its smart ring on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. By mid-2023 their main competitor was in every Best Buy in America and UltraHuman had no retail presence. They partnered with Retailbound in June 2023.
Once retail-ready, we facilitated meetings with Best Buy and other top retailers. In under six months that led to on-air exposure at QVC, where the ring sold out in seconds during the Black Friday event, and in 2024 to launches across the U.S. and Canada:

A note from the founder
“Our team has sat on both sides of the retail buyer's desk, and we built Retailbound around one belief: the first purchase order is not the goal, the reorder is. That's why every client gets a dedicated consultant, 32 hours a month, and a dashboard every Monday showing exactly what we did. We onboard about one new client a month. If your brand has traction and you're ready to build a real retail business, I'd like to hear about it.”
What clients say

Yohan and his team at Retailbound have been an instrumental partner to Mysa and the company's effort to break into big box retail. They have made valuable introductions, helped us avoid costly mistakes, and mentored our team along the way. With the assistance of Retailbound, Mysa has established a strong retail presence in both Canada and the United States with major retailers. We're thankful to have the Retailbound team as partners and we look forward to collaborating in the future.
Yohan and the Retailbound team are fantastic partners for growing our business. They are organized, knowledgeable, results-driven, and just fun to work with. … They know buyers because they are buyers. … I have been able to grow my sales significantly, and they have saved me the money of hiring a full-time VP of sales/channel manager.
I contacted Yohan when our business was presented with an opportunity to enter the retail space. We were overwhelmed and needed immediate expertise in the field that we did not have internally. Five years later, Yohan and his team have been instrumental in bringing our brand to life, in big box stores, via e-commerce, and TV shopping. Yohan's network is expansive and the Retailbound team is willing to tackle any challenge. We would not be where we are today without them!
Is this for you?
The CES Prep Package works when you're committed to the show and want retail to be the outcome, not just awareness. Here's how to know before you book.
Questions exhibitors ask
Two months of expert guidance starting November 2026, leading up to CES on January 6–9, 2027 in Las Vegas. Because the work has to be finished before the show, start dates are limited. The earlier you book your consultation, the more runway we have.
Seven deliverables: a retail channel market analysis, pricing models for retail and distribution, a product and packaging review, a logistics and post-sales support review, a high-level marketing strategy, your retail buyer pitch deck and sales collateral, and CES preparation: booth layout, marketing materials, exhibitor pitch, booth traffic strategy and lead follow-up strategy.
Most exhibitors do. A booth and an investor-style deck are built for press and consumers. A retail buyer wants pricing that survives retailer margin, packaging that fits a shelf, and a vendor who understands the channel. The package re-tools what you already have for the buyers who walk the floor.
The CES Prep Package is preparation: the analysis, pricing, collateral and the strategy to attract retail buyers to your booth and follow up afterward. Brands that want Retailbound to actively run buyer outreach and manage retailer relationships after the show can continue into Retail Launch & Grow.
We'll walk you through pricing and exactly what's included on the free consultation. Like all Retailbound programs it's a fixed fee: no commission and no performance fee.
A short call with a Retailbound consultant about your product, your CES plans and your retail goals. We'll tell you honestly what a buyer would push back on at your booth today and whether the CES Prep Package is the right next step. If it isn't, we'll say so.
